“Interactive Dialogue with the Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mr. Javaid REHMAN”

New York, 26 October 2022

In the Name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful.

Mr. Chair,

Since the EU, the UK who thinks other countries are still its colonies, the US, Canada, and some certain countries persist to forge the reality, I wish to recall some points, including the systematic and systemic racial discrimination in these countries that a great number of people, including women, children, and members of Muslim minorities and indigenous peoples are suffering discrimination and violence, be in the workplace, courts, media, digital platforms, or their everyday life. These countries, support the rioters in other Sovereign States under the pretext of protecting human rights. They interfere with the internal affairs of sovereign States while violating the Charter of the UN. In addition, the representative of an apartheid regime in our region is among them to advise us on human rights particularly when a women journalist, Shireen Abu Akleh was recently shot and killed by the Israeli occupation forces.

I wish to conclude my statement by expressing my deep condolences to all Iranians for today`s terrorist attacks in Shiraz.

I thank you
