Reply of the Delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran

To the Statement by Israeli Regime

At the First Committee of the 77th United Nations General Assembly

New York, 24 October 2022

In the Name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful.

Mr. Chair,

I am compelled to take the floor to reject the allegations made by the Israeli representative against my Country

We are not surprised by those lies proliferated by the representative of the regime as it has no respect to international law. It has continuously initiated cyber attacks against many sectors in Iran from peaceful nuclear facilities to public services like emergency aids.

We do know the oppressive and apartheid nature of the Israeli regime and its dark record of human rights and disrespecting the international calls to join to the NPT, CWC, BWC and others.

Israel has violated 29 resolutions of the United Nations Security Council (which are legally binding on member-nations under the UN Charter, Article 25 (1945); a few sample resolutions - 54, 111, 233, 234, 236, 248, 250, 252, 256, 262, 267, 270, 280, 285, 298, 313, 316, 468, 476, and last not least the UNSC Res 2231 which it has missed no opportunity and effort to kill it. Such a regime has no moral ground to talk about respect to rule and commitment in the international law.

When IT comes to cyber security the situation is even worse. What we have said is not allegations but all international observers have confirmed Israel’s irresponsible actions and we condemn them.

I thank you, Mr. Chair.
