On Draft Resolution L.40: “Nuclear Disarmament Verification”

Mr. Chair,

We abstained on draft decision L.40, titled "Nuclear Disarmament Verification," because it takes a selective and limited approach to nuclear disarmament verification through the Group of Governmental Experts, whose selection is based on political considerations rather than clear and agreed-upon criteria.
